Many companies are now outsourcing to India and to other countries
in a bid to save costs. What is often overlooked is that by outsourcing
non core activity that the UK based staff are set free from many
daily operational requirements. This actually increases bottom line
revenue as skilled workers now have the capacity to concentrate
on improved customer service and associated added value services
alongside new business opportunities.
A second point to consider is that the labour costs are so much
cheaper compared with UK, that the overall customer service element
can be improved as more staff can be employed to cover the business
requirement at a reduced rate.
It is no wonder that all the major companies are now looking to
outsource non core activity. We at CS can advise on the benefits
and pitfalls of outsourcing. We have years of practical experience
behind us and can advise on best practice, safeguards and controls.
